ABOUT SALLY
Born in Glenelg Sally started drawing from an early age.  Initially preferring black and white renderings she rarely dabbled in colour.
When Sally left school she worked and travelled until finally the urge to study art full time hit her and she venmtured into commercial, graphic, interior and even garden design.

Sally then found the opportunity, through Splashout Studios in Marino, to gain confidence to experiments and diversify her work with colour.

She has previously held residencies at Bridgewater Hotel, The Mockingbird Lounge at Geleng, the Wine and Roses Show at Mylor and the SALT exhibitionat West Beach, Splashout at Brighton and Bird in Hand Winery.
Sally now works mainly in oils but also propduces work in acrylics, watercolours, etching, masaic and printmaking.

ABOUT KATY

A self taught ink artist, Katy fell in love with Inks from the first time she used them- the vibrancy of the colours and how unpredictable they are.
Katy uses ink painting therapeutically and teaches the process of painting with inks as a way to completely switch off from the outside world and from anxious thoughts.

You can experience this for yourself at our May Wellbeing Workshop and come see her incredible work any time in our cafè.

ABOUT ZHUO WEI (JOY)

Upon completion of her formal arts training under tutelage of famed Landscape Artist Li Runbei (former Vice President of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Institute), Joy was awarded her Fine Arts Degree in the People's Republic of China,
Wei says. "As well as skills in portraiture, my main interests include Calligraphy and Watercolour painting, in both the Traditional (guóhuà) and Western styles."

Joy is a member of the Royal South Australian Society of Arts and has had her works exhibited in the Society's 2021 'Portrait Prize'. For several years Wei has also enjoyed teaching these Chinese Arts to students ranging from the very youngest, through to those in their well-deserved retirement, at various venues around Adelaide.
